Jamdani or Dhakai Jamdani ( due to its origin in Dhaka, Bangladesh) is believed that these sarees originated in the ancient city of Dhaka, which is now part of present-day Bangladesh.These sarees are light weight ( as Jamdanis should be) , breathable and extremely classy; perfect for efforless styling. Dhaka was once a prominent centre of textile production in the Indian subcontinent, and it is here that the roots of Jamdani cloth sarees took hold.
